Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training

Six Sigma Yellow Belt training is a two-day program that covers the basic concepts and language of Six Sigma, along with an overview of the DMAIC process and a set of basic tools. Yellow Belts serve on project teams led by a Green or Black Belt.

At the completion of this training program, you will be able to:

  • Explain what Six Sigma is and how it is used.
  • List the steps in the main DMAIC process.
  • Explain how the following tools can assist with continuous improvement efforts: Pareto analysis, CT trees, process maps, SIPOCs, cause and effect diagrams, countermeasure matrix, and control plans.
  • Explain how data plays a role in continuous improvement.
  • Understand and be able to apply the fundamentals of Measuring System Analysis (MSA)
  • Develop technical comprehension of error-proofing and process controls

A Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training Certificate is granted by Purdue MEP to those participants who attend both days of training.
